FAQs for Orka Services

What is Teletherapy?

Meet with a therapist on your phone or computer from the comfort of your own space. You can be at home, your office, outside – anywhere! No need to deal with the rush and hassle of commuting to an appointment. Just turn on your device and begin your session wherever you feel comfortable. Sessions are 50 minutes long. The duration of therapy is decided on by you and your therapist based on your goals.

What does Teletherapy look like at Orka Health and Wellness?

Meet with your therapist on a secure video platform. Just click on a link you are emailed and you are all set to go. Appointments are available weekdays, nights and some weekend times as well to best fit your schedule. At Orka Health and Wellness you can make your appointments online and email with your therapist.

What is a Superbill?

With a Superbill, the client pays for the services out-of-pocket at the therapists established rate. The therapist would then provide the client a Superbill to turn into their insurance company to be reimbursed. Out-of-pocket expense is paid up front by client.

Will I be a fit with the therapist?

We offer a free 15 minute meet and greet if you want to learn more prior to scheduling an appointment. We’ll discuss your goals, preferences and types of issues you are dealing with to match you with the right therapist. Email support@orkahealthandwellness.com to request.

Why do Private Pay?

For individuals who want complete control over their mental health records and do not want information shared with other parties, fee-for-service provides a person with the most privacy. This is a good option for people who don’t want mental health diagnoses in their medical records.

What if my insurance is out-of-network?

The therapist will provide you with a Superbill so you can then request reimbursement from your insurance or your Health Savings Account (HSA ) for reimbursement. Please be aware that some insurance companies will not reimburse out of network expenses so it is important to verify this status with your insurance company up front.
